Friction Bouldering is an indoor rock-climbing gym located in Delacombe, just outside Ballarat. It’s a purpose-built bouldering facility designed for climbers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. The venue focuses on bouldering—a form of climbing done on shorter walls without ropes, using padded flooring for safety.
AURA is a large-scale nighttime sound and light experience held at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. It uses immersive projections, music, and storytelling to recreate key moments from the region’s history, including Indigenous culture, the gold rush era, and the Eureka Rebellion.
This experience blends the best of Smythesdale’s local lifestyle—starting with the vibrant energy of a country market and ending with a slow, nature-filled café visit.
